Theme: Cheers to 30 years
Winter in the Village is a day-long community-wide holiday festival throughout Dansville. A myriad of events, activities, and shopping and dining opportunities are offered from morning to evening. There is something for everyone to enjoy and experience!
The Chamber coordinates arts and crafts shows during the day, an evening Wine and Spirits Walk in the downtown business district, ice sculptures and a live ice carving demo, the growing Santa Parade, Letters for Santa at the Dansville Public Library, and marketing for the event. The Chamber also sponsors a window decorating contest, and shops this year are decorated in the Vintage Christmas theme.
Winter in the Village flyers are available in many downtown Dansville businesses starting in late November, with easiest access at Dansville Public Library (200 Main), Tony’s Pizzeria (140 Main), and Dogwood Trading Company (176 Main). Pick up yours and start planning for a fun-filled day! Updates will be posted on our Facebook and Instagram pages: Dansville’s Winter in the Village. The event flyer will appear in the Genesee Valley Pennysaver (Dansville-Wayland edition) on November 27, as well.
Be a part of our Santa Parade! Open to organizations, community members, businesses. Decorate a float, sled, four-wheeler, car/truck or yourselves and join in the fun of our 30th anniversary! Contact our parade coordinator, Kaylee Walker, at 585-435-2329 for more details and to sign up. (We do need to know who is coming so we can organize the line up … thanks for understanding.)
An important note about parking: We strongly recommend the use of municipal parking lots! For pedestrian safety, Main Street between Perine and Chestnut Streets will be closed 3:30pm-8:30pm AND there will be no parking all day on Main Street between Ossian and Clara Barton Streets (signs will be posted).
New this year! Two options to purchase your commemorative glass and wristband on 12/6: 11am-1pm at Genesee Community College, 31 Clara Barton St. 5:15 PM at the Chamber office/Thomas Wamp Realty, 126 Main St.
