The Star Theatre first opened 4 June 1921 Playing 35mm Black and White Silent Films the first "Talking" Film played here in 1927. The Star ceased to shine and closed in the mid 80's and time took a toll on the Theatre. In 1994 the Theatre reopened by The "Schmidt" Family on 28 Oct with Upgraded 35mm Plater Mounted Projection. In 2011 The Star Theatre was recognized as Livingston County Small Business of the Year.
